On September 27, 2024 at approx. 9:20 A.M., Eli Long was riding his motorcycle northbound on Atlantic Avenue passing Arlington Avenue in Lynwood on his way home from picking up food when the driver of a silver or light blue Toyota sedan turned in front of him causing a collision that left Eli to die on the street within minutes. 

In addition to the driver, there was reportedly a passenger in the vehicle.
